Important Disclaimer: 13F filings only require disclosure of long equity positions. Short positions are not reported, which means you are viewing only a partial picture of how a fund manager invests. For investors like Warren Buffett, who rarely (if ever) goes short, this data represents nearly the full picture. However, for managers like Michael Burry, known for significant short positions, not seeing short exposure can completely change the interpretation. Many funds go short on a stock with substantial capital and then hedge with a small long position via options on the same ticker. Always consider the investment style of the manager before drawing conclusions from 13F data alone.
