Commitments of Traders Report

The COT Report is a weekly report published by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) that provides information on traders' positions on futures and options traded on major U.S. exchanges.

Weekly bars of long positions above and short positions below in one market, with the net position drawn as a line.
The COT report shows how traders are positioned each week, long, short and net.

This insights allows to focus also on institutional traders' positions on selected assets, such as gold, indices, currencies, commodities.

The report can provide valuable information about market sentiment.
